Syd González

PhD Student in Anthropology | GSS Cluster Fellow

Syd González (they/them) is currently a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology and a Mellon Fellow in Gender & Sexuality Studies at Northwestern. Their research, while interdisciplinary, will primarily use Cultural Anthropology's methodology. Their main research interest is queerness & indigeneity on the Texas/Mexico border. In addition, they also focus on decolonization, intersectional feminism, and colorism within Latinx communities. Syd earned their Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston.
