Enzo E. Vasquez Toral

Enzo E. Vasquez Toral is a Peruvian performer and scholar pursuing a PhD in Performance Studies at Northwestern. His doctoral work focuses on queer and trans participation in Andean folklore in patron-saint fiestas, drag, and performance art. His publications in English and Spanish have appeared or are forthcoming in academic and art publications in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Enzo holds an MA in Performance Studies from Northwestern University, an MA in Spanish and Portuguese from Princeton University, and a BA in Latin American History and Literature from Harvard University. Enzo is a former graduate fellow at the Center for Native American and Indigenous Research (CNAIR) at Northwestern and an exchange scholar at the Department of Theater and Performance Studies (TAPS) at Stanford University.
