Lane Fenrich

Distinguished Senior Lecturer in Gender & Sexuality Studies; Assistant Dean for Freshmen

Lane Fenrich is Distinguished Senior Lecturer in Gender & Sexuality Studies and also Assistant Dean for Freshmen. Prof. Fenrich is a cultural historian of the twentieth-century United States. He has received a number of major teaching awards, including the Arts and Sciences Alumni Teaching Award in 2000 and the Weinberg College Student Advisory Board Community Building Award in 2007. He was also named the Charles Deering McCormick University Distinguished Lecturer in 2008. Prof. Fenrich regularly teaches one of Gender and Sexuality Studies’ gateway courses, "Sexual Subjects: Introduction to Sexuality Studies" as well as a very popular course on "U.S. Gay and Lesbian History."
