Danielle Ross

Danielle Ross is a choreographer, performer, curator, and graduate student in Northwestern’s PhD program in Performance Studies. She holds BAs in Dance and Performance Studies and Political Science from UC Berkeley. Her research investigates how the embodied form of performance uniquely grapples with histories of gendered violence and erasure in Guatemala, Nigeria, and Morocco. Ross’ work sits at the intersections of dance studies, performance studies, transnational feminisms, decolonial studies, and women of color feminisms. As a performer and dancer, Ross has worked with Linda Austin, Bouchra Ouizguen, Ayako Kato, and Lu Yim.
