Linnea C. Valdivia
PhD Student in Theatre & Drama | GSS Cluster Fellow
Linnea C. Valdivia (she/her) is a student in the Interdisciplinary PhD in Theatre and Drama program and a Mellon Cluster Fellow in Gender and Sexuality Studies at Northwestern. Her research interests include queerness in early America, medicalization of the body and theatrical performance as a site of queer meaning-making. In addition to her scholarly pursuits, she also is a professional freelance dramaturg, producer and playwright and has artistic credits at theaters including: the Lark, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Curious Theatre, Art House Productions, Playwrights Realm and New Dramatists. She received her BA in English from Whitman College.
